  rutherford's rebranding of the bible students by the creation of a designer name which made them stand out from other bible students, the nwt deceptively misuses a verse to perpetuate the falsehood of the unscriptural name, "jehovah's" witnesses!.

  there are rumors out, that the italy (rome) bethel is being shut down and putting out to pasture a large portion of the bethel staff.. has anyone heard anything... ?.

  the word is that everyone but the most senior members will be let go.

  the senior bethel family members will be reassigned.

  What does " receivership/administered by the courts" mean? In the US that is a term used in bankruptcy. Is there a financial aspect of this that I don't see?

  I do agree with the new translation of John 17:3. Taking in knowledge was never correct. It means KNOWING Jesus. I had a long discussion with my wife and daughter about this very verse last year. I am glad to see that changing for sure.

  Did they make any adjustments to John 1:1? Anybody?

  Should I go to the AGM?

  i have not been a "publisher" for 5 or 6 years.

  i did not attend meeting except the memorial for 5 or 6 years.

  recently (about 3 months ago) i started going on sunday to help keep peace in the family and smooth out wrinkles in my marrage.

  I would not go because I am "excited". I just want to know exactly what my wife and child are being exposed to. I am actually glad that I have been going to the Sunday meetings lately. I have been able to raise some really tough questions about the "Nu light" Watchtowers. Before they would not listen to me at all, but if I go the the hall then they at least will let me ask the questions. My hope is that they will start to think for themselves.

  If I do go I will record the meeting on my phone and upload it.

  I have not been a "publisher" for 5 or 6 years. I did not attend meeting except the memorial for 5 or 6 years. Recently (about 3 months ago) I started going on Sunday to help keep peace in the family and smooth out wrinkles in my marrage.

  I do not attend during the week and I have never even answered once in the hall we are attending. I have also never turned in a time slip in the hall we are attending, however the elders do know me from when I was in another hall and when I was a MS. I am not DF'd.

  Do you all think they will let me in the door if I go with my wife?

  There are tons of free voice recording apps for the iPhone. If anyone is going just go to the iTunes store (or Android market), and get it. Then just make sure you have some free space on your phone and turn the recorder on when the meeting starts. You can turn the screen off and just set the phone on either your book bag or put it in the front pocket of your shirt (upside down so the mike is pointed up).

  You might want to stop the recording between talks etc. Then just upload the file to sendspace and post a link here. Whoever can do this will be a superhero to many on this forum!

  On paragraph 4 the question is:

  What insight led to a clearer understanding

  of Jesus’ prophecy about the last days?

  The answer (according to the paragraph) is:

  examination of Jesus’

  prophecy, however, we perceived that a

  days has two fulfillments.

  What I don't understand is how this "insight" (that Jesus prophecy about the last days had two fulfillments) be presented as being just recently understood from "further examination of Jesus' prophecy" when the society has claimed for my entire life that there were two fulfillments. See this quote from way back in 1978 where they say that "Jehovah’s Witnesses have often pointed out that much of what Jesus there foretold had two fulfillments"

  I found out today from a pretty reliable source it will be called the "Revised New World Translation", also I was told they may have used "worldy greek scholars" as part of the translation team. I can not say who I heard this from but I would put my confidence in the "Revised" name at 90% and the "worldly greek scholars" at 60% for what that is worth.
